History

While the product development group, sales and marketing and customer service groups of Source Distributors have experienced success in the fitness and medical/rehabilitation industries, the success of GameBike and GamePad is the result of market forces that transcend the physical fitness industry.

The video console gaming industry has become one of the most dominant entertainment forces on the planet. Its revenues exceed those of the entire motion picture industry and its phenomenal growth continues to expand exponentially. Million and millions of young men and women are sitting in front of a television, controller in hands (along with a soft drink and snack) and playing video games every minute of every day.

While the thumbs of these gamers are workingthose controllers, childhood obesity has grown to epidemic proportions in the United States and other developed countries. This is not a coincidence. The CDC estimates that more than 30% of the children in this country

are overweight or clinically obese. This obesity leads to devastating results. Diabetes, heart and liver disease, psychological trauma and many other deadly diseases are the direct result of childhood obesity.
